I'm gonna back out of this, it's leading nowhere. And you made a very good point by saying 'The customer is always right', in practice this turns out to be 'The customer thinks he is (always) right'.
If that's one of your arguments, that I don't speak French, then you've lost it with me. That's one of the worst arguments I've ever seen. I regularly get emails from people from France, writing me in French. You don't see me complaining about that. And when I try to respectfully explain my point, that is what you come up with? That is what I call disappointing.
We don't say you have to upgrade, it's your own choice. So if you're satisfied with 2.1.3 I don't see the problem...
Sales are doing very well, so it seems that most people don't agree with you. We don't use this money to buy our own aircraft, expensive cars or whatever. Almost everything is used for developments from which the user benefits. It's your choice to decide if you want to profit from this. But I think it's a bit weird to say that we've become crazy, because that's far from the case.
I understand that you are a bit irritated by the new pricing system, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind. Corjan and I pay ourselves an hourly rate which is even below the Dutch minimum wage. So I think you can't say we're after the money. On top of that, we work far more than those 40 hours we get payed for. The sim market is quite small, so sales numbers aren't very high, which means that in order to generate enough revenue, we have to charge a higher price. We used to do this as a hobby, and started working full time for Sim Innovations in February. It means that you will get more nice features in a higher tempo. And if you have version 3, you will get all version 3 updates for free.
