Just thought I'd drop a note to let you know how things are going during this 2nd quarter of 2014. Thanks to those of you who have remained patient!
For those of you reading this hoping to see a release date, you will not find one here. This is a progress report.
Overall Development 787
Systems Programming is in full flow now. Some days we make a crapload of progress on multiple items while others we spend all day looking at one item. Frustrating and rewarding...but we're moving as best as our time allows. We're still trying to get the heart of the airplane situated, and the heart is the systems that work behind the systems you see. The are "System Pages" on this airplane that have to accurately reflect all things that happen when systems are configured and that is what we are currently doing. We're also trying to get a wrap on all the different configurations you can have with the displays. Once we get that stuff situated, we'll move on onto the real fun stuff like Autoflight, etc.
The model is really, really coming along nicely now. For those of you who have been saying things like "Wow, you guys must be REALLY, REALLY close", ask yourself this question: What does the Ultimate 787 landing gear look like? Now that you probably JUST realized that you've never seen it, it's because you haven't...until now.
Lars has finished developing the landing gears and while we're still working on some sequencing tweaks for the Nose Landing Gear - we're very happy with the way things have progressed. Engines were another major milestone. Additional fuselage attachments, windows, doors and many other things remain - but we're making progress.
The Flight Dynamics from Nick are also evolving very well and as such, Emil (who works in tandem with Nick) is getting close to providing something we let you all listen to soon enough.
I had hoped to have a video for the VC by now, but that's going to have to wait until another update (likely prior to Q3 update). Life happens ;-)
Overall Development 737 CL
Not a huge amount to report with the 737. But that doesn't mean things aren't progressing, because they certainly are. We will have another update (likely in this 2nd quarter) that should have some more in the lines of stuff that we'd like to show you. Systems programming isn't at a previewable point, but Josh is working heavily on the FMC. Other areas of systems programming will flow pretty opposite to the 787 teams approach.
Ultimate 146
The Ultimate 146 is a stable product after Service pack 4, and we don't currently have any development plan on the table at the moment.
Ultimate 757
As stated during the Q1 Update, there will be a hotfix to address some of the things that we probably broke in the process of fixing some things. We'll get it to you when we can. But we just can't devote anymore significant time to the current 757 product. There is no timetable for this hotfix.
As always, we will post when we have somethign to show you OR in some cases when time permits. Don't assume that just because we aren't posting, we aren't doing anything.

I have a question about the displays in the cockpit.
On the Ethiopian 787 video that was linked (here or on the facebook page), there was a display showing the overview of an airport, presumably where they were going, which included all the taxiways and gates.
Will this be implemented at all?
It would making taxing to the gate much easier.

It will display based on the departure / destination airport selected in the FMS, and will use your current scenery to draw the display with.

apparemment un petit retard mais je ne ferais pas de commentaire
QualityWings would like to thank Carbonite for preventing one of the development team members from jumping off of a roof . Faulty memory caused a BSOD which corrupted the 787 fuselage masters (all layers lost). Last manual backup copy was 3 months ago. Only 2 hours lost with Carbonite auto backup copy.
mais ils se sont remis au boulot:
Fuselage masters FULLY Recovered. Now back to work
